December 2009  The cluster of municipalities within the Nancy region in France - Communauté Urbaine du Grand Nancy (CUGN) – has chosen Sepura TETRA radios for its public service organisations. The radios will operate on a digital infrastructure deployed by SYSOCO, Sepura’s distributor in France. Grand Nancy joins the growing community of French municipalities - over ten to date - which have chosen SYSOCO and Sepura to help them upgrade their communications systems from analogue to digital.  On the occasion of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, Malaysia (LIMA) which took place from 1st to the 5th December, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak launched the new digital infrastructure 1Network using a Sepura SRH TETRA hand-held radio. 1Network was developed by Sapura, Sepura’s strategic partner in Malaysia.  Sepura radios form part of a communication system which enables connectivity between Sweden and Denmark’s national TETRA public safety communication networks, Rakel and Sine respectively.  The communication specialist GEG Telecomunicazioni, a System Partner of DAMM, has successfully completed the handover of a comprehensive TetraFlex® multi site solution for the emergency service (118) in the province of Lodi in the Lombardy Region. Thanks to the TetraFlex® multi site system the Rescue Service can now rely on a state-of- the-art Tetra solution for its mission critical communication throughout the entire province.  With Damm’ s TetraFlex® TETRA Infrastructure the need for highly flexible and reliable communication has been met at Heerema Zwijndrecht BV, a world leading marine contractor in the offshore oil and gas industry. The project was delivered by DAMM’s partner Flash Services in Netherland, who with its extensive experience in TETRA is specialized in customized solutions and services ranging from planning and commissioning to service and maintenance of complete solutions.
Communication is vitally important at the Heerema Zwijndrecht BV shipyard. During the busiest stages of dismantling a drilling platform, there could be 1,200 workers on an 15 hectare site. Work involves installations covering dozens of metres in height and length and weighing thousands of tonnes. Quick and reliable communication is essential to efficient and safe procedures.
 On Thursday 19th November the Minister of the Interior of the German City State of Hamburg received the first digital TETRA radios for the city’s public safety organisations. This symbolic event was celebrated with an official ceremony which took place at the “Davidwache” Police Station in the heart of Hamburg.  The federal state of Saxony is the seventh German state to select Sepura TETRA radios for its public safety users. The contract, for a total of 30,000 radios, was secured by Selectric Nachrichten Systeme GmbH. The terminals will be supplied to Police, Fire Brigades and Rescue Services in the state.  18th November 2009 - The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) of CAEN in France is the first hospital in the world to select Sepura TETRA radios for its communications requirements. This unique contract was achieved by SYSOCO, Sepura’s valued French partner, who was also responsible for the deployment of the CHU’s TETRA network infrastructure.  The Swedish National Task Force – Nationella Insatsstyrkan (NI) – has selected Sepura TETRA radios for its specialised communications requirements. This important contract was secured by Swedish Radio Supply AB (SRS), Sepura’s long-standing partner in Sweden.  Aside from contributing to forest fire prevention and control, this technology will help unify the company’s radio communication and digitally communicate Forestal Mininco’s staff and related companies, delivering high-quality communications, security, and scalability for future requirements  November 09 2009 - For the first time nationally, paramedics will be able to communicate within the inner cordon of major hazardous incidents, thanks to the delivery of new ‘intrinsically safe’ radios.  November 3 2009 - A multi-million pound boost to the emergency services radio communication system has been awarded as the countdown to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games approaches 1,000 days, the Home Office has announced.  FMV, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, has placed an order for TETRA crypto from Sectra.  Mentura Group has delivered a TETRA based role communications system to the Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) in Germany. The ROCS (Role Oriented Communications Server) – solution integrates field functions, staff reachability and task dispatching seamlessly to the radio communications service. The solution is delivered together with the leading Airport Communications provider, SITA.  For the second consecutive year, Sepura supplied TETRA radios to Arqiva Ireland, which operates the on-course communications network for the Kennedy Group International North West 200, Ireland’s largest road race.  October 2009 - Damm Cellular Systems A/S has through its appointed System Partner FLASH Netherlands Ltd. been awarded the contract to deploy a TetraFlex® system for the world famous yearly flower exhibition at the Keukenhof Park in Lisse.  October 2009 - The biggest Power Plant in the western part of Russia, Kaliningradskaya TEC-2 chooses DAMM’s TetraFlex® infrastructure to establish a safe and reliable communication platform for the safety of their staff, for crisis management and for higher effectiveness of the technical maintenance processes. The project is supplied through DAMM’s Russian partner Integra Pro.  Sepura Plc (“the Company”), a global leader in the design, development, and supply of TETRA digital radios, has secured a framework contract to supply users on the Portuguese national TETRA network, SIRESP. An immediate order will be placed for 17,000 radios and corresponding accessories and is forecasted to be the first deliveries of up to 40,000 TETRA radio terminals over the next three years.  Motorola and partner, Telent GmbH, have agreed to install the TETRA infrastructure, as well as supply 200 Motorola MTP850 and MTM800E terminals and a dispatcher system for the Landesamt für Straßenwesen (Regional Department for Road Maintenance). The contract, which also includes setting up the TETRA Dimetra IP Compact System at 43 locations over a total of 450 kilometres of motorway is scheduled for completion by 2010.  Sepura secures another Australian commercial order, this time from the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This landmark contract was made possible by Trans Communications, a dealer for ComGroup, one of Sepura’s channel partners in Australia.
 Chesham, UK, 15 September 2009 - Axell Wireless, the wireless coverage specialist, has won its second project in conjunction with systems integrator Kapsch CarrierCom to install a wireless train communications system in the Innsbruck by-pass tunnel in Austria. The deal, worth €1.8 million, follows on the successful deployment of a multiband wireless system with Austrian rail operator ÖBB (Österreichische Bundesbahnen), and will include public safety, train communications and preparation for commercial networks.  3 August 2009 . EADS Defence & Security (DS) and Beijing JustTop Communication Co., Ltd have signed the contract on the Phase-4 JustTop project for the Beijing Government Shared TETRA Network. Mr Su Zhenze, President of JustTop, and François Begaud, Head of Secure Networks APAC, were present at the signing ceremony.
 New Delhi, September 09, 2009 – Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT) announced today that Delhi Airport Metro Express Link and Mumbai Metro have both chosen Motorola's TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) digital radio communication platform to ensure mission-critical communication across their rail networks. These contracts follow a series of other strategic contracts won by Motorola to provide mission-critical TETRA communication networks to Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad International airports, as well as the prestigious Delhi Metro project.
 DAMM has through their authorised System Partner in Italy, GEG Telecomunicazioni, been awarded the contract to replace the existing communication system at the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome, Italy with their TetraFlex® solution. Damm’s TetraFlex® infrastructure has been connected with the existing Alitalia Cisco Call Manager platform.
 In a major sales win in Italy, Sepura’s TETRA radio terminals have been supplied to the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome.  - Sepura TETRA radios enabled the smooth running of the 2009 Mediterranean Games which took place in Pescara, Italy, from 25 June to 5 July, 2009. The radios were supplied to the event’s organising committee by GEG SRL, one of Sepura’s Italian partners.  Sepura has won the contract for the supply of TETRA radios to the municipality of the Ville de Bron in the Rhone region in France. This win was achieved through SYSOCO (www.sysoco.fr), Sepura’s long-standing partner in France.  Devon and Cornwall Constabulary in the UK has recently rolled out Sepura’s Radio Manager Server version with remote clients located in the majority of its police stations. The adoption of Sepura’s radio management tool, which makes the programming process more efficient, has brought tangible financial benefits to the English constabulary. It means that Police officers are never further than 20 minutes travel time away from a remote programming location.  July 2009 - DAMM has through its Turkish partner ATEL been awarded the contract to supply the TetraFlex® TETRA Infrastructure for the Samsun Light Rail project in Turkey  July 2009 - DAMM has through its valued partner GMG Solutions newly been awarded the contract to supply the TetraFlex® TETRA Infrastructure at the Rio Tinto in Western Australia.  Sepura’s second largest customer in Hungary, the National Directorate General for Disaster Management, has added Sepura’s Repeaters to its substantial fleet of Sepura TETRA radios for its fire brigades.
In February 2007 the Hungarian government chose Sepura TETRA radios to operate on the country’s national public safety network. This was the biggest single contract for TETRA terminals ever signed in Central Eastern Europe. The Hungarian Police became Sepura’s major customer in the country.
 22nd July, 2009, APD Communications - The Emergency Support System (ESS) Consortium today announced that it has received formal approval from the European Commission to begin research and development of a portable emergency command and control system that incorporates real-time data collection technologies. The system will provide actionable intelligence to managers during crisis events and will be used as a framework for future crisis management systems.  1 July 2009 - Today in Bourgas, the Bulgarian Minister of Interior, Mr. Mihail Mikov officially inaugurated a completed phase of the TETRA network for the Bulgarian Security Forces. According to him, "Secure and reliable communication is one of the prerequisites for successful crisis operations performed by our security forces.  GLOSTRUP, Denmark – 30 June, 2009 - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that a total of forty Motorola TETRA Base Stations with fuel cell back-up are now live across Denmark’s SINE public safety network, with approximately 50 planned and commissioned for installation throughout the remainder of the year. Motorola Wins Second TETRA Terminal Tender in Berlin Framework agreement includes delivery of more than 14,000 terminals alongside accessories and services June 15, 2009 BERLIN, Germany - June 15, 2009 - Motorola, Inc. Over 2,000 end users will operate on the new digital network  Sepura secures the first major order for TETRA radios to the German state of Bavaria Sepura has secured a prestigious contract to supply digital TETRA radios to the State of Bavaria. Bavaria is the fourth German federal state to select Sepura radios within the roll out of the German TETRA BOS-net framework. This contract win was achieved in close cooperation with Selectric Nachrichtensysteme GmBH, Sepura's valued partner in Germany. To date Sepura and Selectric's partnership has secured BOS-net contracts in the federal states of Sachsen-Anhalt, Niedersachsen and
Bremen.  A ground-breaking deal has been struck with the BMW Special Vehicle Group, based in Munich, Germany, to integrate Sepura's mobile radio's display directly with the Blue Light display of BMW Group's own iDrive system. The agreement was achieved with the support of Sepura's valued partner in Germany, Selectric GmbH.  Sepura offers public safety users in Germany the broadest range of TETRA radios and a tailored BOS-net solution. Sepura’s extensive portfolio of hand-held, vehicle-based and covert surveillance radios satisfies the exacting demands of the police, fire and ambulance services world-wide for secure and reliable communications.  The announcement of the first TETRA trial in North America, together with the news that work on the next generation of the TETRA Standard has started, were just two of the highlights of the annual TETRA professional mobile communications industry Congress held in Munich this week.  Rohde & Schwarz Professional Mobile Radio and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), one of the world's largest oil companies, signed a contract on March 30, 2009, for the delivery of a TETRA radio system. The project's volume amounts to € 5.7 million. Setup of the network is scheduled to be completed by April 2010.  DAMM has through its partner PMR Products in UK ensured the delivery of TETRA infrastructure for the Cardiff city centre. The Cardiff city RadioNet system provides communications services,linking; retail, local government, entertainment and leisure business with the Police and CCTVcontrol rooms.  Cardiff’s city centre partnership RadioNet is the first retail management and security radio system in the UK to adopt Sepura radios. This is the first deployment of a municipal TETRA network in the UK.  Police are being encouraged to realise the full benefits of Airwave, the sophisticated communications service now used by all forces nation-wide.  The Highways Agency is the first UK customer to choose Sepura’s latest TETRA hand-portable, the STP8000. This significant contract was made possible by Sepura’s valued partner, the managed services provider SunGard Public Sector.  The Prison Service in Scotland is the first Prison Organisation in the UK to replace its complete communications infrastructure with digital radio – and has selected Sepura TETRA terminals as an integral part of this important initiative.  One of the largest container terminals in the Harbour of Gdynia in Poland has extended its fleet of Sepura radios to maximise the efficiency of its cargo handling. This further contract with the Polish container port was again made possible by Icom Poland, Sepura’s established partner in Poland.  The Angolan Armed Forces and Thales have signed a major contract for the supply of an innovative Mobile Radio Communication Network using TETRA1 standards called DigiM@x. The network will be deployed in 2010.  The Highways Agency is equipping more of its Incident Support Units with Airwave to help them work more safely and effectively.  Police forces nation-wide are training special advisors to ensure communication over Airwave is highly effective during major incidents.  Airwave has been awarded a Chief Constable’s Commendation following its successful implementation on the London Underground.  Police officers in Derbyshire are using mobile data technology from Airwave to spend more than 100,000 extra hours on patrol.  EADS Defence & Security (DS) has signed a Frame Supply Agreement with Rohill, The Netherlands, for the supply of TETRA equipment and services.  EADS Defence & Security recently announced, in collaboration with Beijing Satellite Science & Technology Co Ltd, the first TETRA project in China’s oil and gas fields — providing a complete TETRA radio communication system for the Puguang Gas Field of the Sinopec Zhongyuan Oilfield Company.  Sepura has triumphed in the fire tests conducted on RAKEL, the Swedish public safety network. RAKEL’s operator MSB - the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, responsible for managing the trials, has published the tests’ results in an official report.  Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT), world leader in the development and deployment of TETRA communication solutions, today announced the shipment of its one millionth TETRA terminal. The customer receiving this milestone terminal is the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).  HONG KONG – February 22, 2009 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) announced today the completion of the TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) digital radio communication system for Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), one of the busiest aviation hubs in the world. Motorola migrated the airport’s analogue system to a new digital TETRA system in only seven months, demonstrating the company’s leading position in supplying and implementing sophisticated TETRA systems for airports in Hong Kong and worldwide.  ENDESA, the leading utility in the Spanish energy system, has chosen Sepura gateway radios for its telemetry requirements under a contract secured by Dtetra, Sepura’s distributor in Spain.  At the end of 2008, German first division football team Hannover 96 brought its new communication system in the AWD Arena into commission. The TetraFlex® radio infrastructure from DAMM offered a fully integrated communication platform for everyone concerned with running the team.  AMM has been awarded the contract to supply the TetraFlex® communication network solution for 11 DONG Energy Power Plants across Denmark.
 The public tender for replacement of an existing analogue radio equipment at the Scottish Prison Service was secured with DAMM’s TetraFlex® infrastructure through the UK based partner PMR Products.
 SAAB Training Systems, which develops advanced military training systems that simulate real combat scenarios, is to use the Sepura STP8000 TETRA radio in army training exercises. The radio’s rugged construction, easy handling and outstanding sound quality, assists in a communications system that is both portable and flexible.  The board of Artevea Digital is pleased to announce the appointment of Animesh Basu as its new CEO.  Sepura digital TETRA radios are to be used on the new high-speed Bangkok Airport Rail Link, which is one of the most advanced projects of its kind in the world, taking only 15 minutes to transfer passengers from the city centre to Suvarnavabhumi International Airport.  9th February 2009 - Sepura TETRA radios are in use for the first time on the London Underground following the roll-out of the Airwave Network on the entire underground system.  Eurotunnel, the operator of the world's longest undersea tunnel and one of its busiest rail routes, has chosen Sepura’s new STP8000 Hand-held TETRA radio for its communications in emergency operations.  SINE, the Danish public safety network, has undertaken ‘real-life’ situational fire tests on Sepura’s STP8000 hand-held radio that have impressed fire-fighters in Denmark.  9 February 2008 – Integcomm has won a close-to-a-billion rand contract to build a digital command-and-control network for the South African Police Service (SAPS), in the Eastern Cape.  January 2009  26 January 2009 – EADS Secure Networks (SN), an integrated activity of EADS Defence & Security, has been awarded by the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance a contract to deliver a TETRA radio communication solution to the National Fire Safety and Protection of Population Service (NFSPPS).
 22nd January 2009 - Sepura has secured further contracts with leading police forces in the United Kingdom to refresh their fleets of Sepura radios.  Sachsen-Anhalt has become the third German state to choose Sepura radios to equip its emergency services, following similar orders from the states of Niedersachsen and Bremen. Working in collaboration with Selectric, Sepura’s partner in Germany, the radios will be deployed as part of the nationwide roll-out of the BOS network which is currently underway.  From snowstorms and earthquakes, to major events and emergencies; in the process of urban development, a variety of challenges are inevitable. Ensuring urban safety and the proper disposal of public emergencies is vital to guarantee the sustained and healthy development of any society.  GENEVA – 14 January 2009 – SITA, the specialist provider of IT communications solutions to the air transport industry, today announced a partnership with The Netherlands-based company Rohill, a dedicated developer of professional mobile communication systems for mission-critical applications.  LAT, Russia’s roadside assistance for motorists, has chosen Sepura TETRA radios for its communications in the St Petersburg region
